💡 Here's something to keep in mind: extending your work/study permit and applying for a temporary resident visa (TRV) are separate steps.

➡ When you apply for a new work/study permit outside Canada, you will automatically receive an eTA or TRV once your permit is approved.

➡ But if you're extending your permit, only an ETA may be automatically issued. If a new TRV is needed, you will need to apply for the extension first, and then apply for your TRV after your permit is approved.
